It was decision day on American Idol! That is the night where the judges take it from the top 42, down to the top 24.
The ones left standing after tonight are the contestants you will be voting for in the competition.
We are going to recap a few that made it. Jessica Sahchez is one of the contestants to make it! She is a favorite in our live idol chat room.If her name sounds familial, it may be because you have seen her on youtube.
She has millions of hits from posts she has been putting online for years where she is singing covers of popular songs.
She says she has been watching American Idol and dreaming of this moment  since she was 5 years old!

Also making it into the Top 24 is Baylee Brown who is from Texas but resides in Nashville. It's actually her second time making it to Hollywood.Four years ago she was cut, but this year she made it to the top 24!!
Music City will certainly be cheering her on!

We will also be cheering on Colton Dixon, who is from Murfreesboro. He has been in the hot seat before.Last year he was cut during this round, but this year he made it on to the top 12 guys! As Randy said Wednesday night, Colton has one of Idol's most unique stories. He and his sister auditioned together both this year and last year, but this year he hadn't even planned on auditioning, he was just there supporting his sister when the judges made him audition again.
As he said when he was in the hot seat,  he sure is glad that the judges made him!
Idol continues with the rest of the top 24 tomorrow night!
