Former Idol winner Carrie Underwood performed Tuesday
night in Nashville at a big annual fashion show at Schermerhorn Symphony
Center. It's an event fashionistas look forward to every year. There is
always a big name designer and always a big name Nashville artist.
This
year Carrie Underwood performed just after models walked the catwalk,
giving attendees an exclusive look at the Oscar de la Renta pre fall
2012 collection. Nashville's newest department store - Nordstrom - is
this years sponsor.
The night of music and fashion is a great way to
bring big name fashion shows to Music City, but also a way to raise
money for our community. All proceeds will assist the symphony in
reaching more than 95-thousand people through free community concerts
Carrie says she is honored to be part of this big night
"I
was so excited when they asked me to do this. It is Oscar de la Renta
and a lot of ladies and gents in Nashville come out and get dressed up
for a night of fashion, so I'm there" says Carrie.
Carrie also told
us that she would not want to be up against the competition this year on
American Idol.
She said, "I was on season 4 and we are at season 7. I feel old.
Some of the talent this year is so good. I blogged a while back during
Hollywood week that I would have been sent home, I wouldn't have made it
against this years talent. I am excited to see who is going to take the
