LAS VEGAS, Nevada - "Idol" has moved past the dreaded Hollywood Week and we have entered what they call sudden death! It was all girls Wednesday night - 10 sang and 5 had to go home. Almost all of them were really good - so it was a tough night for the judges.

First up, let's chat about our local - Kree Harrison! Harrison is a demo singer that is from Texas but lives here in Nashville. She got a standing "o" from Keith and Nicki after she sang "Up to the Mountain" by Patty Griffin. She also probably got the most positive comments of the night from the judges. Keith has said all along that her voice is one of his favorites. Wednesday night he said she is a natural born singer. Randy agreed. Nicki said she is in love. Kree will be representing Nashville as one of the top 10 ladies on the show!

Another strong performance was from Angela Miller. She is the young lady who sang an original song last week. The judges kept referring to that performance - saying nothing would compare - but that she did a great job this round and is a top contender in the competition. Angela also made it on to the next round!

Another contestant that got a standing "o" from a few judges - the final contestant of the night - Amber Holcomb. She sang "My Funny Valentine". Nicki said her vocals were a plus, plus, plus. Randy said she stood out like a diamond and Mariah said regardless of what happens she can't wait for her record. We will be hearing Amber's voice again. She made it on to the next phase of the competition.
