CEMETERY CLOSED TO WHITNEY HOUSTON FANS
WESTFIELD, N.J. (AP) -- Whitney Houston is still a draw, and that's a problem for the cemetery where she's buried. The Star-Ledger of Newark reports the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, has closed its gates because too many fans are trying to visit Houston's grave. Police say the cemetery's narrow lanes were gridlocked Monday afternoon with more than 100 cars. Police now are restricting access only to those with relatives buried there.
ADELE TOPS WHITNEY HOUSTON
NEW YORK (AP) -- Adele has now passed Whitney Houston. Adele's album "21" has spent 21 weeks atop Billboard's Top 200 albums chart. Nielsen SoundScan says 21 has pushed aside Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard," as longest run for a woman at the top of Billboard's album chart. Adele's sophomore album sold 730,000 copies the week after her Grammy Awards sweep.
RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWN WORK TOGETHER
NEW YORK (AP) -- Is Rihanna making a huge mistake in working with Chris Brown? Billboard editorial director Bill Werde (WER'-dee) says probably not in the short run. Werde says he doubts any corporate sponsors will drop her outright, but they may look elsewhere when her endorsement contracts expire. He says sponsors like someone whose story is not "complicated." However, he points out Rihanna is a grown woman and she can sing with and date whomever she wants. Brown sings on the remix of Rihanna's racy song "Birthday Cake," and she sings on the remix for his song, "Turn Up The Music." They've also been tweeting each other. Brown assaulted Rihanna at a pre-Grammy event in 2009. Their representatives have not commented on the remixes.

SERGIO MENDES DISAPPOINTED ABOUT NO SONGS AT OSCARS
NEW YORK (AP) -- Sergio Mendes is disappointed that he won't be able to perform his nominated song at the Oscars. Mendes co-wrote "Real in Rio" from the movie "Rio." It's up against only one other song, "Man or Muppet" from "The Muppets," written by Bret McKenzie. The Oscars cut the performances of the best original song nominees from Sunday's show. Mendes says he's "very frustrated" and "kind of sad" that he can't perform "such a lively song." He says it's a great song to do live. He says he can't have everything but he'll still go to the Oscars.

SUPREME COURT DECLINES TO HEAR PHIL SPECTOR'S APPEAL
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Music producer Phil Spector took his case all the way to the Supreme Court -- and it did no good. The court has declined to take up his appeal of his conviction for killing actress Lana Clarkson in 2003. Spector's attorneys had argued the prosecution's use of a judge's videotaped comments and his picture during prosecution summations was improper. Lower courts had refused to consider the case and upheld Spector's conviction. He's serving 19 years to life in prison.
MICHAEL JACKSON'S DOCTOR ASKS FOR BAIL
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles County prosecutors are opposing Michael Jackson's doctor as he tries to win release from jail while he appeals his involuntary manslaughter conviction. Prosecutors argue in court documents Dr. Conrad Murray is a flight risk and a danger to the community. Murray's attorneys are asking for his release on bail or on his own recognizance with an electronic ankle bracelet monitoring his movements. Murray was found guilty of giving Jackson a powerful anesthetic as a sleep aid in June 2009. Murray is serving a four-year jail sentence.

ANNE MURRAY OPPOSES WIND FARM
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (AP) -- Anne Murray has written a letter to Nova Scotia's premier opposing a wind farm near her summer home. Canadian Press reports Murray writes a proposed development near the town of Pugwash is "deeply disturbing" and would have a "catastrophic" impact on the economy. She writes, "Wind turbines are imposing structures and definitely not the kind of thing one wants to see from a golf course." She adds, "Turbines are a curiosity, but only once." North Cumberland Wind Farm proposes installing 12 wind turbines outside the village. The company's president denies the wind farm would negatively impact the area's economy or tourism.
