•  MEET THE HOSTS OF TENNESSEE MORNINGS

Charlie Chase
"Tennessee Mornings" Host
Charlie Chase was born in Rogersville, Tennessee and moved to Nashville in 1974. He has been in broadcasting thirty-five years and counting! His radio career began at age 13 working parttime and later worked on-air jobs while serving as Program and Music Director in Kingsport, Knoxville, and, later, Nashville, landing at the world famous WSM Radio--replacing Pat Sajak when he decided to pursue television. While working at WSM Radio, he began doing music reports for Channel 4 in Nashville. This lead to being offered the host position for the station's long-running midday magazine program in 1982. It was during that stint that television producer Jim Owens connected with Charlie to begin This Week in Country Music, which debuted in 1983. Charlie also hosted and produced the highly-rated series of specials: Funny Business with Charlie Chase and the Crook and Chase Show. Past playing partners include John Daly, Fuzzy Zoeller, Bob Murphy, Troy Aikman, former Vice President Dan Quayle, and other sports and music figures who also look at golf as a way to get out of the house. Charlie also enjoys visiting historic sites and searching for antiques.

Rachael Bernard
Live Commercial Coordinator
Rachael Bernard, a native of Nashville , began acting at a young age only to decide later to make a career of it. After starring in High School productions, local theatre and with some encouragement from her acting coach, Arita Trahan, Rachael soon left for New York City , to continue her acting studies at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Upon graduating, Rachael eagerly attended many auditions, taking part in several off Broadway Productions. After staying in the “Big Apple” she returned to Nashville to appear in both independent films, national commercials, and began working for Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17.
Rachael's work in local theatre and music, helps her bring a unique perspective to Nashville entertainment in her “Around Town with Rachael” segments. Her background in writing and improv serve her well in her work with live sponsors and help her to fit right in with the “Drama” on Tennessee Mornings.
Rachael's ultimate goal is to win an Oscar for Best Actress. But in the mean time her dog Oscar will suffice.
