Shane Tallant
"Tennessee Mornings"
Host
Shane Tallant joined FOX17 in January 2010 as the co-host of TN MORNINGS. With over 10 years of experience in front of the camera, Shane has worked in several cities around the US, including his home town of Pittsburgh, PA. Shane has appeared on the Oxygen Network's popular reality show 'Making it BIG', where he was tabbed as one of the TOP up and coming entertainment reporters the US and Canada. He also serves as the host of HGTV's top rated program 'Designed to Sell'. Additionally, in 2005, Shane was honored with an EMMY award for 'best program host' for his part in making The WB network's The MIXX a must watch show in San Francisco, CA.

A former college baseball standout, Shane quickly focused on his other passion once he suffered a career ending shoulder injury upon graduation from NCAA div.II Flagler College in 1999. From there Shane began as a tape editor in nearby Jacksonville, FL., but quickly moved up the ranks and was the 'face of the station' for WAWS Fox30 News.

Shane then went back to his hometown of Pittsburgh to be the entertainment reporter at KDKA/UPN Pittsburgh, where he was able to work alongside the reporter and anchors that he grew up watching as a kid. Following nearly three years in Pittsburgh, Shane moved west to get a taste of Hollywood, by hosting THE MIXX, a highly rated entertainment program for the WB affiliate in San Francisco, CA. While there, Shane had the opportunity to land exclusive interviews with much of Tinsletown's A'list. .

"Everyone always asks me about my most memorable interview. That's a tough question because they are all so interesting, but I would have to say Robin Williams. He and I really clicked and he gave me some useful advice that I try to remember as I go through my career. Oh...and Angelina Jolie. I like to think I made an impression on her too, but I have to come to terms with the fact that it was just a handshake and a picture."

While making his way around Hollywood bringing viewers the latest celebrity news, gossip, film reviews, music releases and much more, Shane was honored with an EMMY award for 'Best Program Host'.

Following his stint in the Bay Area, HGTV cast Shane as the newest host of their top rated program 'Designed to Sell'. In 2006, Shane picked up and moved to Washington, DC and in 2009, completed his seventh season hosting the home makeover show. With a loyal and almost cult like following, Shane speaks to audiences all over the US sharing his expertise and experiences helping homeowners sell their homes for top dollar.

Now settled here in Nashville, Shane couldn't be more excited to continue to make TN MORNINGS the best morning show in town!! Each morning from 5-9am, Shane and Kelly Sutton bring their energetic and fun personalities into your living rooms, hopefully starting your days off right!

In his spare time, Shane hangs out with his puggle Ace, plays as much golf as possible and you might just catch him at one of the local karaoke clubs 'chasing a dream'.
