Lou Anne from Columbia, TN writes:
"Dr. Asa, I'm 42 and have been diagnosed with OA (Osteoarthritis). My mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis
and I don't want to end up with her condition. What can i do?"
Dr. Asa responded with some tips for overcoming arthritis:
1. Get a blood test for Vitamin D every 6 months.
2. Do weight bearing exercise 30 minutes a day 3-4 days per week.
3. Avoid most grains and pasteurized cow's milk dairy to lower inflammation and reduce joint pain.
4. Use cod liver oil, boron and phosphorus daily to lower inflammation and increase bone density.
Dr. Asa will be here every Tuesday morning at 8am to answer your
health questions, and for more great information, tune in to Dr. Asa on call in Nashville weeknights from 8-11pm on AM1510 WLAC, or visit online at www.drasa.com.Dr. Asa Andrew Answers Your Questions
