Titans All Access - WZTV FOX 17 - Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Chicago Bears
Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Chicago Bears
Jay Cutler, QB: Cutler missed five games with an ankle injury in 2013, leaving him 23rd among fantasy quarterbacks. While Cutler has missed 11 games the last three seasons, there is reason for optimism. Before the injury, Cutler was on-pace to match his 2009 performance of over 3,600 yards and 27 touchdowns.

His yards-per-pass average were the third-best of his career, his completion percentage second-best of his career and in just 11 games, he had matched his 2012 touchdown total. Head coach Marc Trestman has proven he is an offensive master-mind and the rise of Alshon Jeffery just adds to Cutler's potential numbers. Cutler is currently being taken 13th overall in most leagues and could seriously outperform that ranking. If you're wary on guys like Romo, Ryan and Foles, opt with Cutler as the superior option.

Alshon Jeffery, WR: Jeffery exploded in his sophomore year, totaling 1,421 yards and seven scores. While you might feel hesitant to go all-in on Jeffery given it was just one year, don't. Why? Because his production didn't come because of Marshall's decline or another factor in the passing game. In fact, Marshall actually put up the highest touchdown total of his career with 12 last year. While he did see a bit of a drop in total yardage, that was to be expected regardless because of Trestman's system.

That said, I'm a bit weary of Jeffery's current ADP which has him going 9th among all wideouts and 24th overall. Brandon Marshall is still the best threat on this team and will see the bulk of Cutler's targets. That doesn't mean Jeffery will see a decline, it just means the ceiling isn't too much higher with Marshall and Forte to feed. It might be a better idea to pass on Jeffery and address another need in the third round and then pick up guys like Vincent Jackson, Wes Welker or Larry Fitzgerald who can all be had after the third round.

Brandon Marshall, WR: Why waste valuable internet space. He's elite. Draft him early.

Matt Forte, RB: Again, you could download a song with the time it takes to read this. Draft Forte, early and often in all leagues.
