Titans All Access - WZTV FOX 17 - Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Cleveland Browns
Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Cleveland Browns
Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer, QB: Unless you're drafting in a keeper or dynasty league, neither quarterback is worth drafting as anything but a low-end backup. Hoyer was named the starter, but his leash will be a short one. Although both quarterbacks struggled during the competition, Manziel was clearly the one who could extend plays and gives the best chance to break things open. Despite the different looks it would have given this stale offense the team went in another direction. Manziel could make his debut as early as Week 5 against the Titans, but you still can't expect Johnny Football to light it up in year one.

Ben Tate, RB: Tate is finally getting his shot to carry the load in Cleveland after pitching relief for Arian Foster in Houston. Tate has shown the ability, especially in Foster's absence last season. The Auburn product rushed for 771 yards on just 181 carries (4.7 ypc) and four scores. He also shagged 51 balls in the passing game for 140 yards.

In terms of being a clear-cut starter and one of the few not in a committee situation, Tate offers good value as a RB #3 on your fantasy team. What's holding him back is he likely won't be seeing the end-zone too much. The Browns were 27th in the league with an average of 19.3 points per game. With Josh Gordon facing a year suspension, Tate's scoring potential is in the hands of Miles Austin, Davone Bess and Nate Burleson to get him in the red-zone.

Miles Austin, WR: Austin is the only receiver worth consideration on this team, but not until the later rounds as someone to have in an emergency. Take a flier on Austin but don't expect much.

Jordan Cameron, TE: Cameron had a breakout season in 2013, racking up 917 yards and seven scores. His 133 fantasy points were 5th among all tight ends and current projections have him finishing with nearly the same totals this year. He will again be Hoyer's go-to guy, but can he repeat success as this team's top receiving option? Will the Browns sniff the endzone enough for Cameron to post seven scores? Will he have to work with two different quarterbacks this season? There are more questions than answers for Cameron this season to warrant drafting him so highly (5th/6th round), but at the same time, it's not like there are a plethora of options behind him. It might be better to roll the dice on a tight end in the later rounds and secure a solid #3 WR or RB in the 6th round instead of Cameron.
