Titans All Access - WZTV FOX 17 - Fantasy Football Draft 2014: New England Patriots
Fantasy Football Draft 2014: New England Patriots
Tom Brady, QB: Perhaps no other quarterback can be had for such great value this season as Tom Brady. His current ADP this year has him being selected in the fifth or sixth round. Apparently, the fantasy world has forgotten Brady was without Gronk for nine games and without Danny Amendola for most of the season. Even Aaron Dobson didn't play a full season. Brady still totaled 25 touchdowns and was 5th in total yardage at the position. For a guy who hadn't finished worse than 5th among fantasy QBs since 2010, his drop is mind-boggling, especially considering he should have everyone healthy to start the year. Let Brady fall to you in the 6th round then reap the benefits when he finishes among the top five once again. oh yeah, the Pats have also given extra attention to becoming a defensive force. That means Brady will be seeing the field often.

Julian Edelman, WR: As the season progressed last year, Edelman became Tom Brady's new Wes Welker. The Kent State product finished the last six games with three games of 100 or more yards and four of his six scores on the season. He racked up 1,056 total yards and only had seven games with fewer than 64 yards receiving. There's no reason to believe he won't be Brady's favorite target yet again. After finishing 18th among all wideouts last year, Edelman is now being drafted 28th overall at the position.

Rob Gronkowski, TE: He's expected to be healthy, but rumblings he could miss Week one are making the rounds. Regardless, he'll be worth the risk as long as he's not taken in the first or second round. If he's there in the third, then go for it.

Shane Vereen, Stevan Ridley, RB: Vereen has been going off the board before Ridley, but if last year is any indication, Ridley carries more fantasy potential. He totaled seven scores and 773 yards in 2013 and should be the guy to target, but trusting the Pats backfield season to season is far from reliable.
