Titans All Access - WZTV FOX 17 - Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Philadelphia Eagles
Fantasy Football Draft 2014: Philadelphia Eagles
Nick Foles, QB: A lot has been made of bumps in the road Foles has faced during the preseason, but that's not the reason I consider him over-valued. Foles still has plenty of weapons at his disposal and will be a solid fantasy quarterback, he just won't be worth selecting in the 7th round as has been the case in drafts. Foles was masterful after stepping in for Mike Vick last year and it's not like he's going to forget how to air it out under Chip Kelly. The difference this season will be that guys like RGIII, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will all have bounce-back seasons and have the ability to put up far more points than Foles this year. He'll make for a good number two quarterback giving you the security needed in case your starter falls, but he's not deserving of being the 8th quarterback taken off the board.

Jeremy Maclin, WR: Maclin's absence due to ACL injury last year has left him a forgotten man in most drafts. The Missouri product is currently being taken as the 25th receiver off the board despite being this team's top threat. The Eagles were tied for 5th in the league in passing touchdowns and DeSean Jackson's 126 targets and 1,300-plus yards are up for grabs. Maclin might not be as dynamic a wideout as Jackson, but he's not a far drop down. This could be the first year Maclin breaks the 1,000 yard receiving mark for the first time in his career. He's being selected as a #3 WR but should produce #2 numbers.

Riley Cooper, WR: Cooper had a breakout season last year with eight scores and 835 receiving yards. He returns this season as the starter opposite Maclin, but his success last year is a bit deceiving. Of his eight scores, five came in just two games. Both games were in consecutive weeks, but aside from that, Cooper never had less than two weeks in-between scores. His whole season amounted to Week 6-10, where he basically did most of the damage. Aside from that, he was sub-par for most of the season.

LeSean McCoy, RB: McCoy will again be one of very few elite choices at the position. The only question here is if you are in a position to draft him or not.

Darren Sproles, RB: The shifty back is a must-handcuff to McCoy given he is such a good fit for Kelly's offense. He won't get enough work to warrant drafting him as a starter, but should injury strike McCoy, he will be gold in this offense.

Zach Ertz, TE: The fantasy world is high on Ertz given the system he's playing in and youth. While he has much more upside than Brent Celek long-term, as long as Celek is around they will eat into each other's fantasy production. It will be far from surprising if Celek once again totals more fantasy points than Ertz again this season. Each are decent backups at the position for your roster, but don't expect them to be consistent producers as starters.
