Washington, D.C.--

Vacation starts at the end of the week for your elected leaders in Congress. They have worked about one third of the year in washington. But just how productive have they been getting paid their average sal.ary of about $174,000?

The 113th Congress will be remembered for many things, including a government shutdown. They also passed the fewest number of laws on record, just 56 for the year.

Despite a new budget deal ready for approval, there are bills that haven't become laws, including immigration reform and a farm bill.

The lack of action on Capitol Hill means low approval numbers for President Obama and lawmakers.

But many congressional leaders say they take pride in work they've done so far.

The real report card for lawmakers will come out in November of next year, at the ballot box.. The 2014 calender recently released  looks like members will only work only 113 days next year.
