Protect Social Media from Your Boss

Oklahoma City, OK

Sparking debate right now, a new bill in Oklahoma aims to make it illegal for bosses to look at social media accounts of their workers.

The bill would prevent employers from requiring workers to hand over passwords and login information for Twitter and facebook.

But there is a catch.

Just because the bill would protect privacy, doesn't mean what they put on the internet isn't available to the public.

You'd still have to put privacy settings in place and not accept friend requests from your boss.

Tech experts say the bill, which Oklahoma senators still have to vote on is a huge step.
