Cop's Letter Help Scared Kids Sleep at Night

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

A police officer in Edmond, Oklahoma is being hailed a hero for going above the call of duty. His actions helped ease the fears of a young girl who had been having a terrible time sleeping.

Aubrey and her nine-year-old sister, Ava, have been having trouble sleeping because their parents say they are "just scared about life in general."

The family has tried to ease their children's fear by going around checking all the doors and windows of their home before going to bed. But, that didn't help put the girls' minds at ease.

It wasn't until a neighborhood police man left a hand-written note on the family's front door for the girls to find the next morning. The note said, "I am driving through your neighborhood and everything looks good." After the girls got that note, they have been sleeping much better.
