Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. Bring plants and pets indoors for the weekend and make sure outdoor vegetation is protected as well.

In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight. A dusting of snow on grassy surfaces will be possible by Saturday morning for areas just west of the Plateau and up to 1 inch of snow along the Plateau. 
A snow storm is expected in east Tennessee with up to a 15 inches in elevations greater than 5000 feet.

Don't Coddle During Playdates

Protecting your family this morning, a warning for parents who hover around their kids while they play with their friends, your child could turn into a narcissist.

At least that's the word from some psychologists. Doctor Peter Gray says play dates supervised by adults is creating a generation of kids who cannot empathize.

Free play allows them to build up empathy for other people, because a child has to take into account the other child's wants.

The psychologist says too much parent intervention stops them from learning certain emotions.
