9/11 Museum Faces Backlash From Victim's Families

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

"To me, it's the crassest, most insensitive thing to have a commercial enterprise at the place where my son died." The New York Post calls a gift shop in the 9/11 museum "absurd" for profiting off of tragedy.

According to the report, around 8,000 unidentified body parts from victims of the 9/11 attacks are stored in a repository under the museum. Many family members are outraged at the idea of selling wares literally over their lost loved ones. The website states all net proceeds from sales will be dedicated to "developing and sustaining" the museum.
