Oklahoma City, OK--

A company in Oklahoma has created a blanket meant to protect kids in the event of a tornado or mass shooting.

The Bodyguard Blanket is a bulletproof pad that features backpack-like straps so kids can put it on and duck for cover.

The designer came up with the idea after a massive tornado hit an elementary school in Moore, Oklahoma last year, killing seven kids.

The material protects against nails, shards of metal and other sharp objects. It is also bullet proof.

Buying the blankets isn't cheap, each one costs $1,000.
