RUTHERFORD COUNTY Detectives are looking for two suspects who took $70,000 worth of copper wire from Middle Tennessee Electric.

The thieves took the wire earlier this month on October 8, 2013.  Shortly after 2:00 a.m., the two men used an on-site forklift to haul four large reels of copper from a storage area on the property at 2156 Edward Curd Lane.  The copper reels weighed about 6,000 pounds each.

Almost an hour and a half later, the men brought their truck in and loaded three of the four copper reels onto the flatbed. Right now, police are looking for the two suspects that had their faces and gloves covered during the entire robbery. Police say the two were driving a white Ford L9000 rollback type truck that had a thick, dark-colored stripe along its doors and across the hood.

If you have any information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at (615) 794-4000. Crime Stoppers is now offering up to $1,000 in cash for information.
