Opryland Lighting Ceremony Date Set in November

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Gaylord Opryland Resort has set the date for it's annual lighting ceremony.
Tennessee's largest hotel will usher in its 30th annual "A Country Christmas" by flipping the switch on Nov. 15 at 5:45 p.m. to 2 million Christmas lights in a music-filled celebration. The event, which attracts more than 1 million visitors annually, runs through Jan. 1.
Even highlights include ICE! featuring Frosty the Snowman; The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes; Lorrie Morgans Enchanted Christmas Dinner & Show, Gingys Gingerbread Decorating, ShrekFeast, acres of stunning decorations, horse-drawn carriage rides and dozens of other holiday events.
The brand new "A Not So Silent Night" concert series with Ty Herndon, Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, Gwen Sebastian, Collin Raye, Jamie ONeal and others will perform hit songs of the season in an intimate setting.  Another new event, Canvas for a Cause: American Icons Give Back, features original art by musical artists, film and TV stars, sports celebrities, notable public figures and treasured landmarks that will be auctioned off for various charities.
A Country Christmas has been called one of the Ten Great Places to Catch up with Santa by USA Today.
