FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- A tractor trailer is rolled over on a major Franklin thoroughfare, shutting it partially down at this hour.

At 2:15 a.m., a semi rolled over on State Route 840 westbound near Pinewood Road. The driver, the only occupant, received minor injuries, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Department.

SR 840 westbound is closed at mile marker 16 and not estimated to be cleared until 11 a.m. Traffic is being diverted.

There is a major fuel spill involving several hundred gallons of diesel fuel the semi was hauling. The fuel is contained.

The tractor trailer took out a guardrail and flipped over, partially left the roadway. The tractor trailer crashed and spilled it's load. Police say it's carrying vehicle parts.

The driver fell asleep at the wheel, according to officials.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Rutherford County Sheriff's Department and The Tennessee Department of Transportation are also on scene.
