A 15-year-old passenger is killed in a Columbia car accident.
Kane Ragsdale of Columbia is confirmed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol to have been killed in a two-car accident at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Mount Olivet Road and King Lane. Ragsdale did not wear a seat belt.
Three others are injured: an unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia and 17-year-old Dillon Borrego, who were both in the car with Ragsdale. Columbia resident, 28-year-old Lance Adams, received injuries in the other car.
Police say the vehicle with Ragsdale inside crossed the center line as it traveled north on Mount Olivet Rd., into the path of Adams. The THP report says speed is a factor.
Criminal charges are pending.
