Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Thousands Without Power in Fairview

FAIRVIEW, Tenn. -- The Middle Tennessee Electric Management Corporation reports more than 3,200 customers without power in Fairview at around 7 a.m.

The Fairview Police Department says the electric company is having a breaker issue and is aware of and working on the problem.

The highest concentration of outages are along Hwy. 100, in the area of White Oak Dr., Grammer Drive, Sutton Place, Chester Road and Cumberland Drive, where there are over 700 outages.

Fairview High School in the area does have power.
