$5.7 Million in Water and Wastewater Loans Awarded

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Governor Bill Haslam announced $5.7 million in low-interest loans for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements. 

The city of Cowan in Franklin County will receive $500,000 for a project which includes wastewater treatment plant improvements. The Cordell Hull Utility District in Smith County will receive $500,000 for a project which includes replacing the existing 100k gallon storage tank with a new 250k gallon storage tank. 

The Jackson Energy Authority in Gibson County will receive an increase of $3,953,352 to their current $5 million loan for a project which includes sewer system rehabilitation. The City of Ridgely in Lake County will receive a $810,000 loan for the replacement of two existing wells with two new wells.
