NOLENSVILLE, TN - Welcoming troops home one build at a time.

The keys were handed over today for a brand new house More than 2-years after Specialist Andrew Wilson lost his legs in Afghanistan.
To this Brentwood native, a fully-accessible home is the ultimate thank you.

It's been more than six months since Specialist Wilson first learned he'd get this house in Nolensville.

Now, completely built with hardwood floors, automatic doors, and widened hallways and doorways, it's a place he can live comfortably.

Specialist Wilson lost both of his legs, one below and one above the knee, on October 19, 2011.

He and his comrades were clearing fields of IED's during a routine patrol in Kandahar.

Things like this new home remind him of his community's support.

He tours the house and can't wait to begin moving in.

Wilson says he's thankful for Homes for our Troops.
Going on two years of therapy and recovery, it's the perfect way for him to kick off this Veterans Day weekend.

Specialist Wilson is now helping those who have helped him.
He's working with the doctor who designed his prosthetics, making the legs and working with patients.
He hopes to become an occupational therapist himself.
