NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- The Nashville Post Office is preparing for the busiest mailing day of the year. On Monday December 16th, some 130 million customers are expected to pay the post office a visit as they play the role of Santa.

The US Postal Service expects to deliver 14.7 billion greeting cards and a record 420 million packages this year.

Post Office authorities say mailing early will be key to beating the rush. For those who won't be able to get there earlier, its important to note the deadline for your packages to arrive on time. First-Class Mail needs to be out by December 21st and Priority Mail needs to be sent out by December 23rd.
