NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The suspect in a west Nashville home burglary suspect is recognized by the victim as her "taxi driver."

According to Metro Police, a man attempted to break into a woman's home on White Bridge Pike on December 5 just before 1:30 p.m. The victim scared the burglar away, but was able to down his license plate number.

The victim also recognized the suspect as a "taxi driver" who drove her home in the same minivan a few weeks earlier from downtown, according to the police affidavit obtained by FOX 17 News. She remembers him because the day he took her home, he came back and knocked on her door and tried to say the she didn't pay him that night.

Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old Darrell Sellers. Though the minivan's tag does not come back to him, he has been pulled over multiple times in the vehicle - as recently as last month.

Surveillance video at the apartment captured the minivan at the time of the attempted burglary.

Sellers is in Davidson County Jail on $25,000.
