Obama puts a rosy spin on rough presidential year

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Obama is probably looking forward to next year, because 2013 hasn't been an easy one. His approval rating dropped following the recent federal healthcare exchange debacle. As FOX's Michelle Macaluso shows us, the President is not letting it get him down. Reflecting on his 5th year in office, President Obama responds to low approval ratings in the wake of the disastrous Healthcare.gov website debacle. The universal healthcare law which bares his name, Obamacare, has caused him to tank in the polls. The President downplayed the numbers. He announced one million people signed up for health insurance during the first 3 weeks of December, something he sees as progress. Also touching on the fallout from the National Security Administration's surveillance of America's phone records, the possibility of immigration reform and the economy.

The President also said he will not negotiate with House Republicans on the debt ceiling. President Obama also addressed nuclear negotiations with Iran, saying all options remain on the table, and that he prefers to continue to use diplomacy.
