Man Charged with Five Counts of Kidnapping

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A man is charged with five counts of kidnapping after a domestic incident in west Nashville.

Jacarlvis Marable, is accused of punching his girlfriend in the face, dragging her by her hair and holding her and four people against their will early Sunday morning on the 4400 block of Tennessee Avenue, according to the police affidavit. Two of the victims were children, including a one-year-old.

The 21-year-old  suspect, armed with a gun, allegedly held his girlfriend in one room, while he made the other victims sit in another room for over an hour. The gun did go off, but no one was hurt.

Metro Police arrived and talked Marable out. He is being held in the Davidson County Jail on $590,000 bond.
