Stewart County Schools Face Propane Delivery Restrictions By Supplier

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Stewart County schools planned on opening late Thursday, but a restriction from propane suppliers has led to school being cancelled today and Friday, January 24th.

According to a report by The Stewart-Houston Times, Stewart County Propane informed the schools their corporate office was only allowing delivery to residences. There has been no word on how long the current policy will be enforced.

The report comes just two days after Governor Bill Haslam issued a State of Emergency for Tennessee to allow for looser restrictions on propane deliveries by distributors.
