NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A football bet between two men turned violent on Sunday. Donald Mainor, 59, was arrested by police after allegedly hitting his guest across the head with a baseball bat over the outcome of a football game.

The report states the men made a bet over which team would win and when the victim's team won, Mainor became "very upset." Mainor asked the victim to leave, who replied "let me finish my beer first." Mainor then picked up the bat and hit the man in the head.

The victim says he lost consciousness for an unknown amount of time and then ran to his apartment to call police. Mainor has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held on $6,000 bond.
