FRANKLIN, TN - The life story of Walt Disney is hitting the big screen and it's being told from right here in the mid-state.

The world renowned animator's humble beginnings may also help bring more films to Tennessee.

Actor Lincoln Cissell is no stranger to the man whose company-- still today-- brings joy and entertainment to children.

Now, he's playing the role of Walt Disney in the early 1900's, as a young boy living in Marceline, Missouri, about 2 hours away from Kansas City.

The film "As Dreamers Do" has only been in production for a few weeks.

Sunday, crews gather at the Franklin Railroad Depot, a location more cost-effective and more historically preserved than Disney's hometown.

Logan Sekulow's production company is based in Franklin and many of the actors are from the greater Nashville area.

All of the exterior shots, and most of the movie's interior shots are all being done in Franklin-- many aren't even sets.

Sekulow hopes the tourism boost this movie could bring will also bring additional film incentives, aside from telling one of his favorite stories.

Sekulow calls "As Dreamers Do" an art film for families.

It will be available this spring and he hopes it will premier in Franklin.
