NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A drug ring trafficking more than 600 pounds of marijuana to middle Tennessee from California is busted.

Six people were arrested Thursday night in Nashville regarding the investigation - 64-year-old George Auzans, 40-year-old Brian Bailey, 43-year-old John Houghland, 39-year-old Charwan Houghland, 38-year-old Trimeco Martin and 43-year-old Robert Rowlette. Police learned through informants and surveillance that local distributors received drugs from California suppliers and distribute them by commercial carriers to local drug dealers.

Eight people are arrested in all, including 33-year-old Conner Guckian, whom you might remember police arrested at a Nashville Airport on January 13 as he was trying to purchase flight on a private jet for $20,000 cash. He had more than $150,000 cash on him.

The other arrest was made in Utah of a woman named Cheryl Brashears. She was transporting 127 lbs. of marijuana for delivery to the Nashville area.

Police have seized more than $220,000 in the investigation.
