Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - So far, 3 people in Cookeville have died of this year's strain of the flu. The hospital reports a 55 year old patient died over the weekend. The other 2 victims were in their 30s. About a dozen Tennesseans have died of the virus in the past few months. Many are wondering why this year's victims appear to be so young. Doctors believe it's because we've seen this strain before. Tonight, the CDC reports the worst is far from over. You can expect a high level of flu activity for the next several weeks, so you still have time to get a flu shot. Coming up tonight on FOX17 NEWS, a doctor from Summit Medical Center will join us to answer more questions about this year's flu.
