NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A fire rips through a Davidson County home.

A neighbor called in a fire at the house at 4641 Bull Run Road, near the Cheatham County line, at 3 a.m. When the fire department arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames, the roof was gone and the back of the house had caved in.

No one lives at the home, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

They say the fire had been burning for about an hour before they arrived.
Firefighters performed a "surround and drown" to ensure the fire is out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
