Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Right now, leaders at one local private school believe they're still suffering from the long term effects of the historic flood of 2010. Nashville Christian School held an open house Sunday trying to recruit new students. Administrators say many kids had no choice but to drop out of school after the flood because their families could no longer pay tuition. This all happened in the midst of the recession. Nashville Christian served as a shelter for many displaced families during the flood. Now, 4 years later, enrollment is slowly picking back up. It's been a long road of rebuilding since then. The private school is doing all it can to keep tuition low. The school is aiming to expand its student body to well over 500 students to get the school back to the size it was before the flood.
