NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman is held at gunpoint and robbed by her online date in Davidson County.

The suspect, 29-year-old James Nelson, met the female victim through an online service and the two met in person, according to a Metro police affidavit.  Days later, he texted her and suggested he would like to come over to her house for dinner.

On January 19, Nelson went to the victim's house for dinner at about 10 p.m. As they were getting ready to eat, police say he produced a handgun and pointed it at her stomach.

Nelson then asked the woman about her bank cards, medications and other items, before going through personal belongings in her bedroom and leaving with her car and other items.

The woman picked Nelson out of a photo line-up and he was arrested last night. He is being held on $125,000 bond for aggravated robbery.
