Family Fights to Keep Murder Suspects Behind Bars - Erika Lathon

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

A Nashville family is fighting to keep three murder suspects behind bars. In 2007 Jessica Haines watched as her fiance was gunned down in the front years of a home on Highland Drive. Corey Sanders was robbed of cash and marijuana. Six men were charged with felony murder and especially aggravated robbery. Two of them are serving life sentences and a third got twenty years in prison. The fate of three other suspects is uncertain. Ashton Gaines, Lance Featherston and Mycal Hendricks testified for the prosecution. They have been held locked up on pending murder charges since 2007. A discussion hearing is set for Friday. Corey's family members are afraid they could be released with time served. The District Attorney's Office says it can't comment on pending cases.
