Want to get rid of that fat hanging over your jeans? Maybe New Year's resolutions haven't been working out too well. Medical Reporter Liz Bonis tells us about a new cosmetic procedure getting a lot of popularity right now. When Virginia Naples first met up with Dr. Shalina Gupta, a Cosmetic Dermatologist, she had a pretty specific request. So, Virginia made the decision to try a new treatment for trouble zones. It's called Vanquish. This machine delivers radio frequency and electromagnetic energy through what looks like a warming blanket. Compared to other apoptosis or fat killing treatments, this one gradually warms the underlying area, but there's no pain to the skin.

That treatment then stays on the area for about 30 minutes, and you do need 4-6 treatments for ideal results. While there seems to be no downside, no serious side effects, how well does it work. For that we have Virginia's before and after photos.

She has maintained her healthy habits, components she enjoys in moderation to maintain her measurable results. Dr. Gupta says this treatment was originally being used to reduce pain, and as a side effect patients noticed they were slimming down. It does cost about $3000 for about 6 treatments and it's not covered by medical insurance plans.
