A press release from Metro police said Chiteka Thompson, 31, and Jonah Phillips, 27, both of S. 8th Street, were both charged with one count of felony theft each.

Thompson remained in Metro Jail on Friday with a $100,000 bond. Phillips was being held in Williamson County on an unrelated matter and will be booked in Nashville soon.

The couple is accused of stealing the discs from November 2012 through July 2013. The vending company reported the thefts. Detective Kevin Allen used surveillance video and pawn shop records to identify the suspects.

Redbox said the discs were worth a total of $38,000.
