Keeping You Informed During Severe Weather

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Nashville, Tenn--Fox 17 News is committed to keeping you safe during severe weather. During the Historic May 2010 floods, the police did not want Fox 17 personnel in our studio because the Cumberland River is right behind our building. There were fears that the levee was going to break.

While safety is always our major concern, not being able to get into the building would have made it harder for us to keep you informed about the flooding.

The issue is so important, it's now in front of the Tennessee General Assembly.
Fox 17 wants the state to allow certified and credentialed engineers to access stations and transmitter sites in times of trouble.
