CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Montgomery County Schools sent David Duren-Sanner to alternative school for 30 days. On February 20, school resource officers found a 5" fishing knife inside the car David drove to Northeast High School. The family says the knife and the car belong to David's father. A District spokesperson says David will be out in time to go to prom and graduate with the rest of his class. David says alternative school is still too strict a punishment. An online petition calling for the school to drop David's punishment has almost 20,000 signatures in just 4 days.
