Tennessee Gas Prices Jump 9 Cents

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline jumped 7 cents from a week ago according to the latest AAA report. 

Refinery maintenance, increased demand and a the switch to a more expensive "summer blend" of fuel which requires more additives are some of the reasons cited for the spike in prices. 

Tennessee's average of $3.17 per gallon is a nine cent increase from last week.
