Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Update: As of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dickson Electric says they still have around 6,000 people without power, down from 6,400 late Monday.

Dickson, Tenn--Thousands of electric customers in Dickson County may be without power for several days. Monday's ice and snow storm knocked out electricity to Dickson Electric System customers in several counties.

But the hardest hit live in Dickson County. The heavy ice caused trees to snap which took down power lines. The ice also weighed down power lines themselves, causing them to break.

Dickson Electric System says more than a dozen crews will be on the street Tuesday working to restore power. Power crews say the outage is very wide spread.

A shelter was set up Monday night at the Walnut Street Church of Christ for people needing a warm place to stay.
