Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Man Arrested For Attempted Murder in Nov. 2013 W. Nashville Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- An arrest is made in a west Nashville robbery attempt that left the victim shot with serious, life-changing injuries.

Metro Police arrest 18-year-old Louis Waters Wednesday, charging him with attempted murder and aggravated robbery in the November 27 incident at the 1000 block of 40th Avenue North. Police say the victim encountered Waters when he heard his back door being kicked in.

Waters and another suspect demanded money from the victim. When the victim tried to leave to call police, he was punched and shot.

The victim was able to identify Waters who was a guest at his Halloween party.
