CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Kentucky--Two teens passed away in a truck crash  Friday night on Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County. Four male teens were riding in the pick-up truck that collided into a semi parked on the side of the highway.

The Fayette County coroner says 17-year-old, Jacob Blankenship was one of the victims that passed away.

The Anderson County coroner, Dr. Mark Tussey says that Blankenship and the other passenger that died were both riding on the passenger side, which had the heaviest damage. Dr. Tussey says the other teen died at the scene, his birthday was the day before.

Blankenship passed away at the hospital, where the other two males were taken for their injuries. All four boys went to Christian County High School.

The school will have extra counselors and social workers available this week for faculty and students.

The Anderson County coroner says he does not believe alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
