NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A 23-year-old man who shot his childhood friend has surrendered to Metro police, and the victim - he's also in jail.

Police report that Geoffery League Jr. turned himself in Wednesday night. They say he and 22-year-old Jeremy Martin went for a ride in north Davidson County on Saturday. League pretended that his car stalled on Sulphur Creek Road and when both men got out, he displayed a gun.

League told Martin to take off his clothes and give him everything. Martin laughed, thinking he was joking, but League apparently was not and shot him in the leg.

Martin complied, stripping down. League took his cell phone, clothes and cash before shooting him in the leg again and leaving. Martin walked to a nearby home for help. He was treated at a local hospital.

Also arrested Wednesday night was Martin - for promoting prostitution. Police say they busted him at the Day's Inn on Murfreesboro Pike in a sting from an ad placed on the internet. They allege Martin arranged deals with a female prostitute.

League is being held on $50,000 bond for aggravated robbery, while Martin's bond is set at $10,000.
