DECATURVILLE, Tenn. - Is closure on the horizon for Holly Bobo's family? After nearly 3 years since the 20 year old nursing student disappeared, Tuesday her murder moved one step closer to a trial. Zachary Adams pleaded Not Guilty earlier Tuesday during his arraignment. With a rap sheet full of Assault and drug charges over the last decade, this by far could be the most trouble Adams faces yet. Shackled and protected by a bullet proof vest, 29 year old Zachary Adams faced the family of Holly Bobo for the first time, as Bobo's accused kidnapper and murderer. Jennifer Thompson is currently representing Adams in Judge Creed McGinley's Decatur County courtroom. Holly Bobo disappeared on April 13, 2011. Her brother Clint told investigators he last saw his sister going into the woods with a man dressed in camo.

Adams was arrested and charged last week after TBI searched his property in Holladay, Tennessee. Bobo's brother, parents and cousin country singer Whitney Duncan were among many family members in the brief hearing. The Bobo's family Pastor Don Franks and Memphis attorney Steve Farese spoke on behalf of the family, asking the public to continue praying.

Adams' attorney didn't comment while leaving the courtroom in Decatur County, which remains dressed with pink ribbons in support of Bobo and her family. The next court date is set for just a couple weeks out from now and Judge McGinley says he wants this case to keep moving along.

A status hearing is set for April 9. In the meantime, the investigation is continuing. The TBI says more suspects and charges could follow.
