FOX NEWS-- FoxNews.com has learned of an alert confirmed by military and law enforcement officials warning of a "Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers."

The FBI and other authorities are searching for a former Army recruit who was identified as "Booker" and told friends his "intention was to commit jihad." Recruited by the Army in Kansas City, Missouri, the man also is known by the name Muhammad Abdullah Hassan. He was supposed to report for basic training next Monday but was discharged after law enforcement learned of his plan.
