MURFREESBORO, Tenn.-- A Murfreesboro man found himself behind bars for mowing a neighbor's yard.

Police responded to a February St. home yesterday after reports an intoxicated man was trying to mow a neighbor's lawn without their permission. There they found Patrick Moore, who according to the police report, stated he was asked by a man in a white shirt to mow the lawn. Moore couldn't recall the man's name, but was "just doing it as a favor."

Police found Moore to be unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and smelled of an intoxicant. Neighbors added they saw Moore fall off the lawn mower while attempting to mow the lawn.

He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication after being deemed a danger to himself or the public.
