School Lunch Backlash By Students

Are smaller portions pushing America's school children away from eating school lunches? A social media movement has been gaining steam on Twitter with students tweeting pics of their slimmed-down lunches and sarcastically thanking first lady Michelle Obama.

The first lady has been the face of the "Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010," designed to get help school children get more nutrition. Under the rules, lunches must have at minimum a half-cup of fruits or veggies and milk can't contain more than 1% fat. Trans fats were also banned and the minimum calorie levels were raised.
