Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Firefighter Saves 4-Year-Old From Burning Building

THIS is the heart-wrenching moment a US firefighter rescues a young girl from a burning apartment building.

The six-year-old child, Aaliyah Frazier, was pulled from the second floor of an apartment building in the city of Evansville, Indiana.

Aaliyah was breathing but unconscious when she was carried out by firefighter Chris Wagener.

 The girl, along with her sister and mother - also rescued from the blaze - are fighting for their lives in hospital where they remain in critical condition.

Kristyn Conner, 24, and Akeleigh Frazier, 3, were found in the home sheltering from the fire in a wardrobe with Aaliyah.

They were administered CPR before being taken to St Mary's Medical Centre in Evansville.

Yesterday all three remained in a critical condition.

Vanderburgh County Coroner Annie Groves said that Kristyn Frazier, 24, was declared brain dead Thursday morning.

Frazier and her two children were hospitalized after a fire broke out in their South Bedford Avenue apartment. The girls are in stable condition.
